06:09 am: upcoming week
I'm going to Boston today for the first time in several weeks, to pick up old company stationery (new brand has replaced the old stuff) to donate to Teddy's school.

And yes, to have some meetings and stuff.

Tomorrow is Teddy's jump rope fundraiser (which I wrote about a couple of weeks ago). Many thanks to those who donated - he's thrilled! He's also very nervous, but I'm sure he'll do great. Because it's his long day at school, he'll get two sessions of jumping.

Fortunately, he has yoga after school, so he'll get a good stretch.

He's told me he wants to take gymnastics classes (after months of not even mentioning it), claiming he'll even "jump off the rope!" I'm not sure they get to jump off the rope in classes (he had some trouble with that at the birthday parties he attended), but I'll find out.

He now says he does not want to take music lessons. I'm guessing he'll decide he's ready sometime over the summer.

Next weekend, Teddy's going to a birthday party. This one's being held at someone's house, with the plan to run around in the yard all afternoon. I'm delighted to be attending what should feel more like the parties I attended as a kid. Every party we've been to has involved going someplace special. We didn't have many destination parties when I was growing up, though I do recall roller skating and bowling, now that I think of it (I think we usually went to the kid's house first for presents and snacks, then piled into the station wagon to head to the venue).

We're starting to plan the summer. Teddy will be going to two camps: the one he went to last year, plus the one he went to during winter vacation (at his school). Peter may be going to the Czech Republic by himself (unless we find a really swell deal on airfare), as he's not seen his parents for almost 3 years.

PixelMedia. I'm not altogether thrilled. One version of the ppt template had the origami critters as bullets. 'Cause I'm sure the c-suite take little frickin' butterflies reeeeeally seriously.

:sigh:

Thankfully, that version apparently didn't make the cut.

OTOH, I had nothing to do with it at all, so it's not fair for me to criticize.

I've heard of PixelMedia. Forum used a really cool design firm for some of their Marketing stuff. I can't remember the name, but they proposed a really awesome direct mail campaign that we did not do at the time.

Butterflies.

Well, it's better than the naked acrobats.

Hugs, Inge

I dunno. At least the naked acrobats were aesthetically pleasing, y'know? I mean, I like the origami fine on the website, but it seems sorta kindergarten in documents.
