06:30 am: Fun and Scary Stuff
There was an interview with Cookie Monster in yesterday's Boston Metro. When asked about his hobbies, he said that he does pilates and spinning (he likes to stay in shape).

I wanna see Cookie Monster do pilates.

Teddy continues to put words together in semi-sentences. Yesterday's highlights were "up sky stars" (we put glow-in-the-dark stars on his ceiling, because he loved the ones at my folks' house so much) and "Daddy hand up" (asking Peter to give him a hand getting up on the bed).

* * * * *

He took apart my computer mouse yesterday. I had a few scary minutes when I couldn't find the ball (which is about the size of a marble).

It's fun to see Teddy gain fine-motor skills, but it's scary how much more stuff becomes dangerous. I suppose that's true of gross-motor skills too, with the enticement of large furniture and heavy objects. And heavy furniture and large objects. All that stuff.

Don't get me wrong: I love it. But there are times when I miss the days when we could put him down someplace and he would stay there.

sounds like it's time to spend the big bucks and invest in a laser mouse and get the ball-mouse outta the house!! :)

Re: oooh

I'd love to get a laser mouse, except this is for my PowerMac8500... mebbe 10 years old? I just don't see investing in peripherals for it, much as I love it. I do my music database on it, and WillMaker, and that's about it. So I'll deal with the cacapoopoo mouse (and keyboard where the letters don't all work and the green-tinged mungo-huge monitor) until it Officially Dies.

Which will be a very sad day indeed.
