06:00 am: reverence
Teddy's responses to things are as emphatic as one might expect in a toddler (especially one prone to melodrama)... it's the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, day in and day out. An orange popsicle! The excitement! A boo boo! The trauma! The boat tipped over! The agony! There are crayons! Fantastic!

The response I like best is delighted awe and joy. It goes like this:
1. Teddy spots a bus
2. He gasps
3. He clasps his hands together
4. He leans forward in his car seat, straining against the safety harness to get closer to the bus
5. He sweetly, fondly, even reverently says: "BUUUUUS!"

Of course, the only other time he responds with such pure happiness is when I open my shirt.... "NURRRRRSE!"
