02:36 pm: packing packing packing
Leaving Teddy's music and movies unpacked 'til the last minute (also his toys). I don't have time to listen to and watch mine anyway, so they're packed (except for the stuff Peter wanted left out - a couple of boxes' worth). The books have been packed for nearly a year (waaah!). Half the kitchen has been packed for nearly as long. Present closet is packed. Files are packed. Attic is packed. Garage is mostly packed. Basement, er, well, the basement isn't packed. I think I'm going to leave it for the movers to pack.

I'm going to finish packing the china when I get the rest of my storage stuff from organize.com, which is being mighty slow to deliver. I'll leave the day-to-day dishes until the weekend before we move. (Peter's delight at the prospect of using paper is a wee bit unnerving).

Actually, I'm going to leave the packing of the dishes to the movers. I have and will put the stuff into their cushion-y little compartments in preparation for delicate placement into appropriate boxes.

Peter pulled out the humungo suitcase for me to pack with stuff to hold us over during the moving and unpacking process, along with the little bitty suitcase for me to pack for our overnight to Longmeadow next weekend (gonna measure the house, register to vote, and check out banks and markets).

I've put in change of address requests for all our magazines and filled out the form for the post office ('cause they charge $1 to do it online - huh?). I'll do changes of address for the bills in another few days.

I've scheduled the final water reading and stopped oil delivery. I'll hold off on cable, high-speed internet, and phones.

wtf am I missing?

I do believe you're covering all the bases, filling all the cracks, stomping all the grapes, and catching all the balls. :)

speaking of balls...

I hope I don't ever meet the seller face-to-face again. Now he won't sign the P&S until his attorney gives him the ok.

His attorney wrote the P&S and agreed to all the changes my attorney made.
