06:15 am: Degrees in Nursing
That would degrees as in 90º, not LPN or RN.

I think of 90º as a normal position for nursing (i.e., the baby is perpendicular to the mother's body in cradle position). Teddy liked this for about 3 months, although we both preferred 0º (side-lying). He still likes 0º, but prefers standing to side-lying. He also likes sitting on my lap to nurse. I can hardly blame him; I don't like to drink lying down either.

Yesterday, I was standing next to his crib while I was on the phone. He started thumping on my chest, which he does when he wants me to pick him up (he thumps my leg when he's sitting on the floor). Apparently he was trying to be a bit more specific; I ended up nursing him while he was standing in the crib and I was still on the phone (with my parents, thank goodness, who are quite forgiving of such odd behavior).

But his absolute most favorite position is 270º... that's with me lying on my back and him kneeling (or standing) next to me, bent at the waist to a near-perfect right angle. He was surprised to find that this position does not work when drinking from a sippy cup.

Sleep update: Teddy slept, more or less (one brief period of restlessness) from 7:30 to 12:30 last night! w00t! I didn't, because I didn't hear Peter come in from his yoga class, so I was worried. Teddy then woke up at 3:30 and 4:30, and was basically up for the day at 5:45.
