07:33 am: In my world
We were on the ferry, heading back to Woods Hole.

"I see an eagle!"

"That's a seagull, babe."

"It's a seagle!"

"SeaGULL, Teddy."

"In my world, we call it a seagle."

A lot of odd language is used in Teddy's world, as he reminds us on a daily basis. It's mostly nonsense ("we call this a flootabootamoo in my world"), with the occasional malapropism or spoonerism thrown in... sometimes deliberate, sometimes not.

His world also contains a great many space conveyances: moon rovers and mars buggies and others. I'm sure he'll discover convertibles at some point. He's pretty savvy about space science, but will likely justify it with some special breathing apparatus that's available in his world.

The laptop is repaired (simple monitor replacement :phew: ). We survived the deluge around Worcester (seriously, some of the most extreme weather I've ever driven in - and I drove through a white-out a few years back). The house is aired out, the luggage is unpacked, and the grocery list has been made.

We're home!

Are seagles related to beagles or to beetles? His joy with language brings such joy to us!

Re: Seagles

Beagles, maybe? Hard to tell.

I love that he loves to play with language. Such fun!
