07:24 am: I do not like waking up at 4:30
I suppose it's marginally better to wake up and get going, as I did yesterday, than to wake up and not be able to sleep, as I did the day before.

Still... ugh.

I got up yesterday to get a cab to get a bus to get another cab to get to the office for one very long (but good) meeting and one nice (but short) lunch and another cab and another bus and a ride home.

If I hadn't already (completely uncharacteristically) had several meals out this week, I would've had takeout last night. Instead, it was omelets and stir-fried veggies, which is my usually fallback on lazy nights. I just didn't have the energy to bake falafel.

And now I'm wondering whether it'll feel like 12 hours or 12 days until I finally get to sleep again. I seem to recall that I used to recover from sleep deprivation much faster.

It doesn't help at all that I managed to dehydrate myself without noticing (I know what I was thinking, though: peeing on the bus is no fun, so I'd better not drink too much) and woke up repeatedly in the night with Teh Headache.

But I did get to wake up with Teddy hugs/family time/snuggle down (cross between smackdown and snuggle time that Teddy likes), so that's good.
