06:00 am: I don't trust silence any more
As I was preparing sweet potatoes last night (which, I might add, Teddy gobbled up like a little wild beastie), I heard... nothing.

I don't trust silence any more, so I went to investigate. As I walked out of the kitchen, I heard "no no no no."

Teddy was climbing the stairs (just to the lower security gate, thankyouverymuch) while reminding himself that he shouldn't be doing that. He does know what "no" means, if his pouty boo-boo face whenever I say it is any indication. He looked as though his heart would break when I wouldn't let him stick his fingers in the electrical sockets at Holiday Inn. And he thinks I'm. The. Meanest. Mumum. Ever. for not letting him play with the fireplace.

He knows "no" means he shouldn't do it.

He just doesn't care.

Current Mood: amusedamused, yet frightened
Current Music: Teddy babble

Do you suppose it's evidence of "intelligent design" that early verbalization is essentially an argument? (Or at least disagreement.) YoMaMa

Re: Verbalization

I'm not sure ID covers that... but FSM does. ;)
