08:39 am: Toxic Saliva
You have to be very careful with pumped breast milk. Once it's in a bottle and a baby's drunk from the bottle, the bottle has to be finished within a relatively short period of time -- it can't be re-refrigerated or anything (so we tend to use small bottles, to minimize waste). Basically, once it's been in contact with baby saliva, the digestion process begins, regardless of whether the milk is in the bottle or in the baby's belly. Peter's interpretation of this, voiced regularly to Teddy:

"Mommy thinks your saliva is toxic."

Of course, if it were toxic, our faces (and hands and whatever) would've melted off like the Joker's months ago.
